Education Counsellor – Denmark

NWC Education is hiring an Education Counsellor to bring Denmark's exceptional study opportunities to students across our markets. Denmark is home to the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), University of Copenhagen, and Aarhus University — offering globally ranked programmes in engineering, design, business, and life sciences. You will guide students through optagelse.dk, scholarship applications, and the Danish residence permit process via SIRI. Location is open — remote or on-site from anywhere.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• 1–3 years in education consultancy; Denmark or Scandinavian experience strongly preferred
• Sound knowledge of the Danish higher education system and optagelse.dk
• Familiarity with SIRI student residence permit requirements for non-EU students
• Awareness of tuition waiver criteria and scholarship options in Denmark
• Strong communication and student relationship management skills
• Highly organised with ability to manage concurrent cases under deadline pressure

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counselling to students interested in studying in Denmark
• Guide students through the optagelse.dk coordinated admissions portal
• Advise on Danish universities — DTU, Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg, and SDU
• Assist students in applying for scholarships and Government of Denmark grants
• Guide Danish Student Residence Permit applications via SIRI
• Advise on financial sufficiency proof, health insurance, and student housing
• Conduct Denmark-focused group seminars and information sessions
• Maintain consistent communication with students from offer through to arrival
• Stay updated with SIRI policy changes and Danish immigration circulars
• Keep accurate and compliant student case records at all times
