The Dean's Postgraduate Scholarship is the flagship merit-based award at Leeds Beckett University, designed to recognise and support exceptionally talented international students. By providing a 50% tuition fee waiver for the first year of study, the university significantly reduces the financial barrier to global students accessing world-class education in the UK. It targets students who have achieved top-tier grades in their previous undergraduate studies and demonstrate the potential to become future leaders in their fields.

To be eligible, a candidate must:

Be assessed as an Overseas fee payer (international residency status).

• Be a self-funded student (not sponsored by a government, employer, or third-party agency).
• Be entering that level of study for the first time (not repeating a year).
• Hold an unconditional offer for a full-time taught Master's course by the application deadline.
• Meet specific academic entry requirements (typically a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent).

Level: Postgraduate Taught (Master's level only).

Fields of Study: Available across most disciplines (Business, Law, Social Sciences, etc.

Exclusions: This scholarship is not available for:

• Research degrees (PhD, DBA, EdD).
• Distance learning courses.
• Professional courses like PGDip, PGCert, or LLM Legal Practice.
• BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.

• Reputation: Known for strong industry links and high graduate employability.
• Campuses: It features two main campuses: the City Campus (in the heart of Leeds) and the Headingley Campus.
• Community: It hosts a diverse global community with students from over 140 countries.

When applying for this scholarship, you will need:

• LBU Applicant ID Number: You must apply for a course first to get this.
• Unconditional Offer Letter: Proof that you have met all entry requirements.
• Video Submission: A video (under 2 minutes) answering three specific questions:
• Why do you want to study in the UK?
• Why did you choose this course at Leeds Beckett?
• What are your long-term ambitions, and how will this course help you achieve them?
• Academic Transcripts: To verify your GPA/merit status.
