Education Counsellor – Finland

NWC Education is looking for an Education Counsellor to guide students through Finland's dual higher education system — universities and universities of applied sciences (AMK) — using the studyinfo.fi platform. Finland is rapidly emerging as one of Europe's most exciting study destinations, offering high-quality education, strong scholarship opportunities, and a society consistently ranked among the happiest in the world. Location is open — remote or on-site from anywhere.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field; education or social sciences preferred
• 1–3 years of education counselling experience; Finland or Nordic knowledge is a strong advantage
• Working knowledge of studyinfo.fi and Finland's AMK and university system
• Familiarity with Migri residence permit application procedures
• Excellent communication, listening, and student relationship management skills
• Strong ability to work independently with effective time management
• Passion for the Finnish education model and Nordic student welfare standards
• Proficiency in English is essential; Finnish language knowledge is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Advise students on bachelor's and master's programmes at Finnish universities and AMKs
• Guide students through the studyinfo.fi application platform and joint application system
• Counsel on tuition fee scholarship availability and eligibility criteria
• Support Finnish Residence Permit for Studies applications through Migri
• Provide guidance on student health insurance, banking, and student union registration
• Explain the joint application ranking and selection process to students
• Conduct pre-departure orientation sessions for Finland-bound students
• Track applications and follow up on admissions outcomes
• Attend Finland-specific virtual and in-person education fairs
• Stay current with Migri immigration policy updates
