Education Counsellor – Sweden

NWC Education is seeking an Education Counsellor who can bring Sweden's outstanding academic opportunities to students across our global markets. Sweden offers world-class education, a thriving innovation culture, and one of the most welcoming environments for international students in Europe. You will guide students through universityadmissions.se, Swedish Institute scholarship applications, and the student residence permit process. Location is open — remote or on-site from anywhere.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• 1–3 years in education counselling; Nordic or Scandinavian destination experience preferred
• Working knowledge of universityadmissions.se and the Swedish university portfolio
• Familiarity with Swedish Institute (SI) scholarships and Migrationsverket student permit process
• Strong English communication skills — written and spoken
• Organised, proactive, and deadline-oriented
• Genuine interest in Scandinavian culture and education philosophy
• Experience attending international education fairs is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Counsel students on Swedish universities and English-taught programme options
• Guide students through the universityadmissions.se application platform
• Advise on Swedish Institute (SI) scholarships and university-specific funding
• Support students through Migrationsverket residence permit for studies applications
• Provide document preparation support including financial proof and housing guidance
• Explain January and September intake timelines and application deadlines
• Liaise with Swedish university contact persons and attend virtual open days
• Conduct pre-departure orientation sessions for Sweden-bound students
• Stay updated on Swedish immigration rules for international students
• Maintain accurate and compliant student application records
