Overview / About the Scholarship
The International Merit Scholarship (2026/27) is the University of Suffolk’s primary vehicle for attracting and rewarding exceptional international talent. For Nigerian students, this scholarship recognizes the high standards of education at Nigerian universities and provides a tangible financial reward for those who have excelled in their undergraduate studies. This scholarship is specifically designed for students studying at the Ipswich campus or the London Center. By offering a tiered discount system, the University of Suffolk ensures that academic merit is the core driver of the award. Whether you graduated with a First Class or a Second Class degree from a recognized Nigerian institution, the scholarship provides a direct reduction in your tuition invoice, lowering the overall financial burden of studying in the UK. Within the 250-word scope,
it’s vital to highlight that this award is part of Suffolk's Block and Blend learning approach, which prioritizes student focus and success. By reducing tuition fees, the university makes its career-focused Master's programs, such as the MBA, MSc in Data Science, and MA in Strategic People Management, significantly more accessible to the Nigerian market. Because the award is automatic, it provides peace of mind during the application process, allowing students to plan their finances effectively before they even arrive in the UK.
