Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Student Counselor to join our Australia desk. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for students interested in studying in Australia — guiding them through university selection, applications, visa documentation, and enrollment. You will play a key role in achieving institutional recruitment targets while building lasting relationships with students and university partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional, personalized counseling to students interested in pursuing higher education in Australia
- Manage end-to-end university application and admission processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Guide students through Australian student visa documentation, compliance requirements, and procedural steps
- Follow up on leads across all channels and convert inquiries into confirmed student enrollments
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospective students, families, and partner institutions
- Support business development efforts and consistently achieve individual and team recruitment targets
- Stay up to date with Australian immigration policies, university intake schedules, and scholarship opportunities
- Coordinate with partner universities on application status, offers, and institutional requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in Australian student counseling or university admissions
- Strong knowledge of Australian universities, intakes, and entry requirements
- In-depth understanding of Australian student visa (subclass 500) procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Target-driven mindset with a professional, student-first attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust quickly
- Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced team environment
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM or student management tools
