It is primarily awarded to international students who are classified as "Overseas" for fee purposes and are joining the university's main campus in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is a one-time award for the first year of study, designed to make world-class British education more accessible to global leaders of tomorrow.

The primary benefit is a significant reduction in tuition fees:

Standard International Scholarship: A tuition fee discount of approximately $3,750 (£3,000).

Country-Specific Bonuses: In some cases, students from specific regions (like Nigeria or India) may be eligible for higher amounts, sometimes up to $7,500 (£6,000) depending on the intake and academic year.

Early Payment Discount: An additional discount of approximately $625 (£500) is often available for those who pay their deposit by the university's specified deadline (e.g., May 2026).

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

Fee Status: Be an international student with "Overseas" or "EU" fee-paying status.
