For the September 2026 intake, this scholarship is one of the most substantial early-action rewards available. It is automatically granted to eligible students who pay their tuition fee deposit by the strict spring deadline. It serves as a "thank you" for early commitment, helping the university manage its enrollment while offering students peace of mind regarding their financial status.
Scholarship Value / Benefits
Scholarship Amount: A fixed award of $4,655 (£3,500).
Direct Reduction: The amount is applied to your tuition fee balance after you register as a student.
Full Payment Bonus: You can combine this with the Full Payment Discount, which provides an additional $1,330 (£1,000) reduction if your remaining fees are paid in full by early October 2026.
Accommodation Use: If your tuition is already fully paid through other means, the university may allow the scholarship value to be applied toward on-campus housing costs (excluding the refundable security deposit).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Super Early Bird Scholarship, you must:
Be classified as an international student for fee-paying purposes.
Be a first-time entrant to the University of Hertfordshire (not available to returning alumni).
Be fully self-funded (paying fees from your own or your family's resources; sponsored students are ineligible).
Hold and accept an offer for a full-time, award-bearing postgraduate taught (Master's) program starting in September 2026.
Payment Requirement: You must pay a minimum tuition fee deposit of $6,650 (£5,000) so that it clears into the university's bank account by April 30, 2026.
Exclusions: This scholarship is not available for Undergraduate courses, Research degrees (PhD), Pre-sessional English, Online courses, or specific healthcare programs

Field of Study: Available across most disciplines (Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Law, etc.), excluding the healthcare and research courses mentioned above.

There is no separate scholarship application form, but you must ensure your admission file is complete:
Final Academic Transcripts: Showing you meet the conditions of your offer.
Proof of Deposit Payment: A receipt or bank transfer confirmation (SWIFT/Flywire) showing the $6,650 deposit was paid by the April 30 deadline.
Unconditional Offer Letter: You must have met all academic and English language conditions.
Passport Copy: To verify your international fee status.
How to Apply
Step 1: Apply for Admission: Submit your application for a postgraduate course via the UOH portal or an authorized representative.
Step 2: Accept Your Offer: Once you receive an offer, formally accept it through the applicant portal.
Step 3: Pay the Deposit: Transfer at least $6,650 to the university by April 30, 2026. Ensure you use a fast payment method (such as Flywire) to ensure the funds clear on time.
Step 4: Automatic Award: If you meet all criteria and have paid on time, the $4,655 scholarship will be automatically applied to your account. You do not need to fill out any additional forms.
