This scholarship is a non-repayable award for Postgraduate Taught students. It is specifically intended for first-time applicants who demonstrate strong academic potential and the ability to contribute to the university's diverse culture. For the 2026/2027 academic year, the award is available for the September intake to help students manage the initial cost of their advanced degree.
Scholarship Value / Benefits
Scholarship Amount: A fixed award of $2,660 (£2,000).
Direct Fee Deduction: The award is deducted from your tuition fees after you register at the university.
Accommodation Alternative: If you pay your tuition fees in full, the university may allow the $2,660 value to be applied toward your on-campus accommodation costs instead.
Additional Savings: This can often be combined with the Full Payment Discount, which provides an additional $1,330 (£1,000) reduction.
Eligibility Criteria
- Hold and accept an offer for a full-time, award-bearing postgraduate taught program starting in September 2026.
- Be a first-time applicant to the University of Hertfordshire.
- Be self-funded, paying the full tuition fee yourself without external corporate or government sponsorship.
- Deposit Requirement: You must pay a minimum tuition fee deposit of $6,650 (£5,000) by the specified deadline
- Exclusions: Not available for the School of Health & Social Work (Nursing, Physiotherapy, etc.), Research degrees (PhD), Pre-sessional English, or online courses.
Level & Field of Study
Level: Postgraduate Taught (Master's, PG Diploma).
Field of Study: Available across most academic schools, including Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Law, and Creative Arts.
