Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, a candidate must:
- Be classified as an Overseas fee payer for international students.
- Have been offered and accepted a full-time place on an eligible Engineering Master's degree.
- Commence studies in September 2026.
- Demonstrate academic excellence and a strong interest in engineering innovation.
- Note: One of the three awards is reserved specifically for a female candidate.

How to Apply
Apply for a Course: Submit your application for an eligible Engineering Master's program via the Sussex portal or an NWC Education advisor.
- Accept Your Offer: You must accept your place in the course before applying for the scholarship.
- Online Scholarship Application: Complete the separate John Kinghorn Scholarship form on the university website.
- Deadline: The application deadline is 1 May 2026.
- Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an online interview with a panel of engineering academics in June 2026.
