Overview / About the Scholarship
The GREAT Scholarship is a collaborative initiative between Leeds Beckett University (LBU), the British Council, and the UK government. It is specifically reserved for Bangladeshi passport holders who wish to pursue their postgraduate dreams at one of the UK’s most vibrant and professional-focused universities. Within the 250-word scope, this scholarship serves as a platform for future leaders. Unlike generic discounts, the GREAT Scholarship is a selective award that seeks changemaker individuals who have not only excelled in their undergraduate studies in Bangladesh but are also prepared to engage with the UK as scholars.
LBU provides a supportive environment for these students, combining academic theory with practical application in Leeds. Recipients of this award are expected to maintain contact with the British Council and the university, acting as brand ambassadors for the GREAT Campaign. By significantly reducing the financial burden, the scholarship allows scholars to fully immerse themselves in the UK's diverse academic culture and return home with the skills to contribute to Bangladesh’s development.
